Former MHS Band Director Ed Bilbrey died of a heart attack Thursday (June 8, 2006) at Blount Memorial in Maryville. He had been fighting leukemia for a long time and started in the Maryville school system in 1957. When Jack Connell left the high school to move to the Knoxville City School system Bilbrey moved into his job.
When the class of 1966 moved from Jr. High to MHS riding with us were Ted Wilson, Jim Campbell,and Mr. Bilbrey.

Well it appears someone was haning a field trip to Fontana Dam! Could it be Jan Vanmeeter, Walker Johnson and Mike Lambert? the nest is Diana Dunn, Margie Weaver , Evonne lambert, Todd Lewis , nest Steve Cross, Hum! Micky or Mike? Know the face but not the name and can't look at annual right now. Last one is Dwight Reagan, though
Most folks are having a problem with the first big picture and naming the "girl" in it.
The three in the picture are Mike Lambert, Walker Johnson and the girl is my 90 year old Mom (LaRue Johnson). I have no idea when the picture was taken but I do remember we used to spend the week now and then at Fontana and I guess Mike went with us on one of those deals? As for the rest of the names, I know a few but not all of them so keep on guessing! Thanks, Walker
